For folks with Sportsters and other bikes with hand numbing handlebar vibration, I successfully tried a low-tech "fix" I stumbled across on the xlforum.net: Insert 1 to 1 1/2 roll of pennies (plastic rolls) in the bar ends surrounded by clear silicone caulking in, out & around the pennies. I followed up by installing some relatively inexpensive Pro-Grip 842 gel grips. The result is a substantial reduction in vibration (maybe 70%?), enough that I experienced no particulary bothersome vibration/numbing on 165 mile lunch ride last week. Apparently, the silicone allows the pennies to wiggle enough to help absorb/offset some of the vibration, similar in concept to the $100 Vibrantor at www.vibranator.com. Very good results for less than $2, but YMMV.

I once nearly got a ticket for "abusing a highness symbol"!
10 Pfennig coins were cheaper then big washers, so I drilled them through for to hold the number plate.
In 2 occasions (once at the TÜV and once on the road) I got hash harsh trouble with officers who didn't find it funny:
"We aren't ammused!"
Luckily your coins aren't visible.
