Hello all, Installing a 96 tle ultra sidecar to a 98 Ultra classic. As im installing parts it seems to me that the stock Harley steering damper seems to hinder turning radius. It seems as though the damper limits the actual travel distance and limits right turns. is this normal or am i just seeing things? does anyone have a pic of what this set up is suposed to look like? also does the factory crash bar need to be removed for this ?

thank you Lonnie, does the damper limit the travel distince/turing pivot on a right turn? seems it would impede it a bit. Also, if you could do me a huge favor. I do not have the spacers for the steering damper and was going to machine them in my shop. is it possible that you could measure how tall they are? I can machine out the interior to clear the mounting bolt. i just need the dimensions
I'm not using a damper on my present rig.
No apparent limitations with the OEM setup.
