HARLEY TWIN CAM TRANSMISSION PULLEY
Thanks for the info guy's, when I get off of work I will check the manual and find out my teeth numbers and get back to you for more info. Thanks again.
I just replace the motor sprocket on my rig (2004 Ultra Classic), I used the original chain, there was still adjustment left in the primary chain. That gave me an overall ratio of @ 3.28. It seems to work well, saved a few dollars over replacing the clutch basket.
Do not think you can turn the shoe over on a 08 as it has the automatic adjuster. But for any one needing a thicker shoe for the older none automatic adjustable the Baker adjuster shoes are much thicker at least for the ones where the shoe is held on by a snap ring. Not sure if they make a thicker one for the earlier that where held on by two bolts. But you can always up grade to the ones with the snap ring.
On my 08 Roadglide engine =34, clutch=46 and trans=32, rear wheel=66. If I'm doing this right 46/34=1.3529 and 66/32=2.0625 then 1.3529x2.0625=2.7903. I have a 6 speed stock trans. and would like a little more low end torque and be able to get into 6th gear a little easier. Mostly do highway driving and alot of roads thru the forest. I don't want to drasticly effect gas milage but Ild like to try something. So what do you guys think I should change and what ratio do you think I should be shooting for?
Boy things have changed on the late models with the amount of teeth on the motor sprocket and clutch drum.
According to the manual clutch has 46 teeth.

Yes you are correct as that is what the manual I have says. That is why I edited my post after looking at my late manual.
So I guess I should try the 30 tooth pulley on the trans. since no one has any ideas with the new models. On the motor and clutch sprockets I'm at 2.7903 should I be trying to get in the 3. something area?

Somewhere in the 3+ area would be good. 2.7 is very high.
