Half round aluminium beading
Any sidecar restorers/coach builders out there? I'm in the process of fitting half round aluminium beading round the edges of a sidecar I'm rebuilding. Progress is slow as I'm offering the beading up, then bending it a bit, then try it for size, then repeat the process. Also on the bit I've done I have a gap between bead and bodywork the thickness of the pane edge I'm covering up. I intend to fill this with black sealer unless someone knows better.
See pictures (with luck)

Have you tried raping one of ratchet straps around the trim and the box tithing it up to hold your trim in place. I think it would take about 3. One closet to the bend, then take rubber mallet to bend the trim. Just a plane.Rudyr
I got in bent round eventually. I bent it a bit, then annealed it, then bent a bit, then annealed it and so on. Any twisting I got rid of with subtle use a vice fitted with plastic jaws. Now to do the other side.
