Hello, is a 2004 Yamaha Venture a good canidate to add a sidecar. My bike is the same as any Venture from 1999 to 2012. I have only seen a couple of these with sidecars. I would be interested in something like the Hannigan Astro sport for sale on this site. Does anyone make mounts for my bike? Would I be better off replacing my bike with something more popular to mount a sidecar? Thanks for your time.

I have a 99 Venture Royal Star with an 02 California sidecar that I bought used. My first rig and it works great! Hauls me and boyfriend with no problem, and we are not small people. As far as "popular", you'll see a wide variety of rigs because folks have different purposes in mind. Ride what makes you happy. Lots of information here. Good luck!

thanks Mary Jo. I think I seen yours on ebay when you purchased it. If it is you got a great deal. The only other one I seen is a 2006 with a Champion Legend. I was wondering about difficulty to mount a sidecar to these bikes. I like the bike but you don't see many with sidecars.

The V-Star & Royal Star are easily hacked. Good frame access.

Your bike is fairly easy to attach a sidecar to. I would go as aways with a bike specific mount and not a bunch of "universal" type frame clamps.

I have a Hannigan on my 2007 RSV. Enables my wife to accompany me on rides. With a bike only set up this was not an option
