I am prepared to try and make my own replacement windshield, but was wondering if the is anyone out there making replacement windshields.

I've made my own for a Terraplane Sc, using Lexan. not hard to do if you dont have any compound curves.
In the link given by Greenagain you will notice that the windshield made was done with 3/16" material. Rick Langoloi (sp?) who made it emphasises that he shoudl have used 1/8" instead. This is very important. I made three windshield last week it is not a big deal. Be sure to use a polycarbonate (Lexan and others) and not an acryllic ( plexiglass is an acryllic and will NOT do well). If there is a plastics supplier near you they may have cut offs that sell at a reduced price.
If you begin with a retangular piece there wil be quite a bit of waste in making a Friendship I windscreen. SAVE THE PIECES! Thye are handy for making wind deflectors and all kinds of stuff.
I added some of these to mine:

Thanks to everyone for their help. I plan to make the new windshield over the winter.
