Hi All
This is a little OT but I need some help. I have a 2000 Harley FLHT with a Motorvation Roadster sidecar. I am looking for any idea what I can build or use to mount a 3x5 flag on the back of the rig. Must be able to withstand some highway speed to support veterians funerals and home commings.
Thanks Ken
Newport News VA.

Hi K,

PGR, I assume? I have a pole set up on the tail of my Goldwing for the same purposes, but I doubt my mounts will help you much. Are you wanting the flag to attache to the sidecar itself or is a bike mount acceptible? You'll likely need to fabricate something custom either way.

Here is a pic of a mount made for a harley (2000 I think) that's posted in the Michigan PGR forum. Maybe this will give you a few ideas?

I use a metal (chromed) fishing rod holder from Academy clamped to the rear roll bar (er, saddle bag guard). It puts the flag up between the bike and the sidecar on my 98 FLHT with 08 TLE. I use black foam pipe insulation to keep the flag pole snug. Not sure if it's 100% proper flag etiquette but it's close enough for flying a single flag.

Thanks for the reply, it is for the PGR. I think I came out with a mount I can use.
Thanks Ken
