Extremely fast tread wear
This tire looked fine before taking off yesterday. At the time of this picture I had only been riding for about 4 hours. The car was off level for the first three hours are wore out the outside. I leveled it and in a bit over and hour the middle wore out.
The alignment of the car is pretty close to spec. The tire was several years old but with not many miles.
Am I looking at a setup issue or do you think this was a bad tire? I don't want to screw up another one.
Thank y'all in advance.
Get the sidecar wheel vertical...lean the bike out slightly and check toe in using just the rear and sidecar wheels only/ Measure just in front of the front tire and just behind the rear tire of the bike. If it is a rear pivot swingarm check for any movement in the swingarm pivot point.
Your alignment is off, no question as to that, no idea what kind of sidecar this is. Looks like you have a VW steering damper working as a shock, very odd. Make sure there is no play in your wheel bearings and no flex or movement in your mounts as these will all effect your alignment dynamically. What I mean by this is, the measurements you get statically (sitting still) are not what is happening when going down the road if you have movement. Movement is often caused by under sized and or "universal" type mounts. Rather the going through the specifics of set up I have included a link to our basic sidecar instructions.

A tire like that should last 20,000 miles on just about any sidecar. You got a problem with your rig.
Have owned 5 rigs but Rig #2 is my current one!
