I have since put the upgrade kit on my Velorex with a beefier tire,,,I have taken all the ballist out of it except for 30 pounds,,I have found a great difference and the velorex turned out to be a good match for my roadstar once we fixed the to-light problem.....It can be done and makes a nice rig..Thanks

Have a 2005 Velorex With 1" axel Progressive shock spring,12" trailer wheel & tire. 10,000 miles later wore it out. put a radial car tire on it lasted 35,000 miles. Still had tread but was weather checked. Have 2nd car tire & 20,000 more, still looks new. Love my Velorex. Frame has busted, weld a little angle iron and keep riding.Changed shock at 60,000 miles.

I like the trailer tire for now.It seemed to drop the car down some .I was running almost 136# in the car but since the upgrade am runnung only 30# in the back of the sidecar.I have a 4 bolt trailer tire, what size tire are you using now.Cant belive the difference.I like the velorex and upgrades are easy on it..Thanks

Oh yea, forgot about having to raise the fender 1/2 " and grinding another 1/2" out of the fender hight because the tire was a little wider.

wished I could, but i'm computor illiterite, sorry. Maybe sombody will walk me through it someday. Anyhow it still looks show room clean. I painted it to match my first bike a 2005 Kawasaki Nomad 1600. cost me 900, but it sure was pretty. My 2nd bike is a 20 year old 1500GLA goldwing black. This time when I get the nerve i'm going to krylon fusion the dark blue part leaving the metal flake silver and pinnstripping. I also have a little cat eye halogen headlight on it, and cateye rear veiw mirror on the right side,. Oh yea painted the wheel the same light metal flake silver on the rig.
