Anyone know where to get a brake cable for a loop frame Moto Guzzi?
It will go from the rear brake of the Guzzi to a Velorex 560 s/c.
Suggestions from anyone who's done such a setup would be appreciated as well. Thanks,
Howard

Educate me here on this. The MotoGuzzi has mechanical brakes ?? Are you saying brake cable or brake line ?? Various automotive supply houses carry numerous lengths of brake lines but mechanical brake cables, I don't know. Seems you could fabricate a brake cable.

Teaxan,
The bike is a '74 Moto Guzzi Eldorado. It has a mechanical drum on the rear and a disk up front.
The s/c has a drum brake.

Oh-h-h-h, Ok. Now I understand. U-u-uh!! Have you checked J&P's classic catalog ?? Don't know about the sidecar setup but they my have something that would work. I'd also be checking Walnecks Classic parts.

http://www.walnecks.com/

I've been to several of their swapmeets over the years and they kinda specialize in classic parts. Also if you have any friends/kin in the Chicago area there is a big swapmeet in March that has a lot of classic parts. http://www.supercycleshow.com/ This swapmeet moved this year but use to be at McCormick Place and billed as the worlds largest indoor motorcycle swapmeet.
Good luck.

At least in Costa Rica we go to the next cable specialist and tell him what we need and he makes it to specs.
I am sure in US you find them easier too then searching for a prepared cable that will be too short or weak.
for to get a hint ask an industrial service technition who he would recommend.
