BMW R100RT and Velorex 562 Connections

I have a 1992 BMW R100RT (single rear shock model) and I'm trying to connect a Velorex 562 to it (my first sidecar project). I bought a subframe from Dauntless. When I push the curved bar on the front of the sidecar frame as far in as it will go, the sidecar frame is about 18" from the bike frame, and the rest of the mounting struts barely reach or don't reach at all. Is anybody aware of different mounting hardware for the bottom front instead of the Velorex curved bar so I can get the sidecar closer to the bike? Bill

Bill,
Change your lower rear mount from the 90 degree position you now have it to the method in the attached pic. Less chance for slippage with a straight push pull mounting. Above or below the sidecar frame tube, whichever makes it the most level. Lonnie

I'm waiting on the rear subframe piece, and then Ill know where that lower piece attaches to the bike. Thanks for the advice and photo.

Move the curved piece tpward the bike. I have an 83 R100RT with a 562 mounted and will send you a pix of the set up if you like.
