These sidecars are no longer made but is it possible to buy an Installation Kit and Mounting Instructions anywhere?

I talked to and got my stuff to mount an old Freindship 1 on the wifeys 1995 Magna, I had to build a belly bike subframe and got all the clamps and bosses, heims and stuff from www.dauntlessmotors.com .... also I overhauled the sidecar suspension.. you need to replace the large pivot brass suspension bushing which dauntless carries, check to see if any of the VW style torsion leaves are broken, and make an L-bracket off the leaf retainer bolt on the inner side to retain the leaves if they decide to break and I welded a washer on the outboard side to keep the leaves from slidng that way if one decides to break..if any of the leaves break and fall out the wheel will come off.... I got all the wheel bearings and seal from a Bearing place locally and the wheel studs from Pep Boys.... the 4 bolt hub is standered trailer stuff if your sidecar uses the 13" inch automotive tire and rim.......

I tore down the sidecar completely as it is 25 years old, sandblasted and etch primer and painted the frame, overhauled the suspension, new 145/80-13 Yokahama Tire...spent a ton of money just to attach the car, made a steering stablizer and built a simple deck to carry around 200 LBS of bagged sand to simulate weight and make my adjustments to get the bike to drive right...I had to order Front heavy fork springs from www.sonicsprings.com and ordered longer and heavier rear shocks and springs from KC International for the bike........Also I have at least another 40 hrs labor to restore the Fiberglass tub....I sandblasted it and got off 4 layers of paint, now grinding out the hundreds of spidercracks in the old gelcoat, reglassing a few areas from poor repairs, then a skim coat of stuctual Fiberglass jelly that you use to bond corvette panels on with, then a nice coat of wax style white gel coat, then mask and prep for bike color and large center stripe, bottom of tub that sees the road to tub middle bond line will get Line-X bed liner........ Still cheaper then buying a new sidecar, but alot of labor 🙂

Also try www.motorvation.com, they have alot of mounting parts also.....You have to look around as the site is hard to navigate, they have a page with all the style mounts and hardware.....
