1992 Dual Sidecar Trunk Lock
I have a 1992 Goldwing + California Dual Sidecar ( Friendship II ???) and do not have a key to the trunk lock.
Does anyone have info on the locks ? Who was the part supplier or manufacturer ?
My locksmith is trying multiple keys & would appreciate any info/clues.
Thx
Phil
If it's a 2 seater it's a FSIII. Not being american made it can use key blanks that are not available in the US. The same problem occurs with the Velorex locks. The European blanks are not available here and a complete lock ass'y. (with 2 keys) must be obtained.

I may have just gotten lucky, but TruLock in Eau Claire had no problem matching my lock. They had blanks in stock.
The key on the left is my original and the key on the right is the duplicate.
I bought the sidecar from the original owner. I believe the lock is OEM. Unfortunately, I can find no identification on either the lock or keys.

Anyone out there own a Vintage Volkswagen Beetle? My wife just suggested that the lock looks a lot like one on the deck lid of an old Beetle. The key even looks the same.
Thanks I will contact VW dealership & see if they recognize the lock mechanism

One of my employee's worked at California sidecars and says that yes, they are a VW part.
