1988 BMW R100RT W/ EML Midi sidecar
Bringing a new to me BMW R100RT w/ EML Midi rig back to the road. Been through most of the mechanical's and the electrical system, I'm not sure what the PO's had done but most of it was either a cluster *#@! or melted. I'm down to bringing the wiring to the sidecar. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate them but the real problem I have is how to wire the running, brake and light. The wire and plug were seriously melted at the signals and I have no idea what spades on the signal do what and the old trial method of trying different spades has not yielded anything useful. Does anybody have a wiring diagram or pictures of what spades on the light get used and for what?
Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated , I'd love to get this on the road for some fall riding.
Thanks
Roy

I'm sorry but I don't have my RT anymore. And these are the only pictures I have of the wiring.
On top of that my PO wired in some auxiliary brake/parking lights so I only needed to add my sidecar wire to the ones he was running for those but the turn signals were stock.
Also if you don't have bulbs or jumpers in the turn signals (Like to disable the front) then they won't flash.
And Brown is typically the ground.

Hmm wiring....
I don't do it bad enough to teach it.
Er...
I know what you mean! - Give me a screwdriver and some wrenches any day and I can tune it, fix it or rebuild it but little invisible electrons flowing through a conduit that can bite you pretty good no thanks!
What i need are the pin outs on the EML rear light. It is a one piece fixture with running, brake, turn signals and a back-up lights. I believe iEML used a right rear light from a VW Polo from the late 80's or 90's.
Someone has to have an EML Midi that could snap a picture in the trunk- I hope, or my rig just got rarer then a furry Lizard. But I will say for an 30+ year old setup my test runs while dialing in the mechanicals has put a huge smile on my face this thing is very steady and planted!
Thanks for the input
Roy

Also if you let us know where you are we might be able to point you to an Airhead guy in your area.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to help me untangle the mess this was. I think I've got a plan now I've got to fix some wiring. What a mess!
