My trailer is an Interstate 7X12 enclosed double axle. I went with the 7' wide to be a little narrower to see in my mirrors while going down the road. That was a bit of a mistake because the rig barely fits through the door opening. I built a tool to release the pressure on the door cables and drop them out of the way, then have to be lined up pretty exact to go through the door. Then there is little room left to move about inside while tying it down. If I was to do it again, I'd simply buy an 8' wide trailer and put extended mirrors on my truck.

I was out back this moring so i checked the inside opening of my trailer
It is a 8.5 x 20 car carrier. Ramp opening is 91".

THEN A 7FT OPEN TRAILER WOULD WORK FOR MY 1500 AND SIDECAR

I also have a 7 x 16 enclosed trailer

There is only 1/4" clearance with my kaw vn2000 with a velorex 565

Not much room when you can't see the fender on the car
