I'm new to sidecars and just bought this beauty this spring from Ron and Agnes in Chicago and rode it back to Calgary. It's a 2003 BMW K1200LT with the matching Hannigan LT sidecar. I can't say that I'm any great expert, but I have put about 3000 miles on it and so far, so good.
It would be fun to meet somewhere and go for a ride... maybe swap some stories and tips. I curious about trying a car tire on the rear when this one wears out, and maybe some sort of square profile sidecar tire on the front? I like the idea of getting more rubber on the pavement, but I imagine there are trade-offs.
Anyway, maybe we can inspire some sort of Southern Alberta group? I have seen 2-3 Ural rigs around town but nothing bigger than the 650-750cc's yet.

Judy and I will be heading up Drumheller way around July. She hasn't been to the Hoodoos or Wayne and wants to see the dinosaur displays at the Royal Tyrell Museum. We may spend our 50th anniversary on the run up there.

You're on the Senior marriage circuit. Mary and I will be doing just 39 in August. She just took her first ride yesterday and could be more impressed. We'll see if a hack is a vehicle to test or strengthen our union.

Yes Tom. Had a very uneventful ride home. Weather was good and traffic was lighter than expected, and Bonnie is enjoying her new helmet. LOL
