The destination for Friday's Ladies Lunch Ride should be Big Pines Lodge ~5 miles.

Subject to change, of course. Kiss

...This aircraft ... is believed to be the most historically documented combat aircraft of WWII flying in the world today....** Now HQ'd at the MidAmerica Flight Museum in Mount Pleasant, Texas, this C-47 has flown into the past several Jefferson Fly-In's. Above is my cell-phone pic from a couple of years ago when it was the only plane to fly-in due to weather conditions.
** From: http://www.midamericaflightmuseum.org/

A history of this aircraft from September 2010 - note the comments re: formation flying at 7½ minutes:

My favorite photo from a prior Jefferson Fly-In - on a day with cooperative weather:

FOUND - Thanks Lee. Does anyone have a reserved cabin they are willing to share in Uncertain?

Plan to arrive Friday mid-day on new three wheels, leave Sunday. Am wiring up driving lights and farkles this weekend.

Update - Due to the price of beef, Jay & Ann have had to increase the price of Friday's Chili from $5 to $7 to cover expenses.

Robert Z. is new to sidecar gatherings and would like to follow or ride together with someone that might be riding up on Friday morning from Southeast Texas. Robert lives in the Baytown TX area and could meet up the road around Cleveland or Livingston.

You may reach Robert at 83two-26two-641three or zales11@verizon.net

While the women ride off for their lunch on Friday and before the off payment ride, I shall be cooking tamales for lunch. Already have an outdoor propane cooker with tank but will need another cooker on which to cook the beans or maybe your quarters has a kitchen. Any volunteers? Let me know....

I'll take the pots that are needed -- just need more fire to cook on -- a small camp stove would be a little slow but better than a match....

If the cowboy stove doesn't work we have a mobile home with kitchen reserved. We should be there before 11am Friday, but I can ask Sara to go ahead a let you in before then if you need the kitchen.

Deferring to swoody's cowboy stove. Thanks for looking out after us fellows Art.

Also: It may be that we do not have a drink sponsor this year. If not, I propose we take up a collection to purchase drinks/ice from the local store/marina.

A motel room at the Shady Glade just opened up as one of group can't make it after encountering a mechanical failure today.
