The Texas Tiddlers Endurance Run is scheduled for May 19th in Northeast Texas.
The Tiddler is a 200 mile all-day timed endurance run for motorcycles under 305cc’s – the smaller and older the bike, the more points. Dennis Leggett, the organizer of this entertaining event, requests the assistance of us sidecarists for various things such as formal/secret checkpoints. J.R., Avanell & Jena handled the afternoon Red Ryder BB gun shooting match last year. The run is divided into a morning & afternoon legs, so you can assist with either one if time is limited. By the way, both Jena & I plan to participate in the run on a Tiddler bike/scooter.
Rally central and the start/finish will be at Boles Field Campground in the Sabine National Forest in East Texas located on FM2694 at google map coordinates 31.77246, -93.96832 which is 6.9 miles East of Shelbyville and 3.6 miles West of FM139.
Camping is available at Boles Field http://www.toledo-bend.com/national-...?request=boles . The nearest motels are 8 miles East at Huxley Bay Marina or 15 miles West at Center. A food truck should be at the campground for coffee, snacks & meals.
Warning: There is likely no cell phone service at Boles Field.
