Ride Information. There are 3 ride start options:

  1. Meet at Songo Lock in Naples at 9:00 AM ish.
  2. Meet at the farm at 7:30 ish for the ride to Songo Lock, led by Chris Jordan. Distance 41.4 miles, approx. 1 hour 8 mins.
  3. Meet at Kelly’s Sebago Diner for breakfast at 7:00 AM, then ride to Songo Lock. Distance 21.8 miles, approx. 45 mins.

Songo Lock is the only remaining part of the original Cumberland and Oxford Canal, which was in operation from 1832 to 1847, and ran from Harrison, ME to Casco Bay.

After socializing and watching the lock in action we will take a leisurely ride  around Sebago Lake, with opportunities to view a few remaining vestiges of the Cumberland and Oxford Canal, returning to the Ocean House Farm for a real Maine Lobster Bake with lobster, steamers, corn on the cob, potatoes, and whatever else we can throw together.

For those having lobster, the price is $30 for 1 lobster (and all of the other fixings) and $10 for each additional lobster desired. Payment can be cash, credit, or Venmo, at the farm.

For those choosing no lobster, who wish to provide their own repast, a grill will be available.

To register for the Fifth Annual Northeast/Southern Maine Sidecar Social please complete this form so we can have an accurate count of attendees. We need to know how many lobsters we need.
