Just like clockwork, it's that time again!

Date:
Feb 16, 17, 18, 19
Location:
Beautiful Downtown Nipton.
20 miles west of Searchlight, and 60 miles (or so...) south of Vegas.

Hotel (small), Cabins (kind-of), Café ("Should be open by that time"), RV parking, and Camping. Lots of views of the desert and superb night skies. Mostly quiet - except a few times a night when the train rolls through. Hint: The hotel provides earplugs for guests...

Several reviews have indicated that the Café hours are... variable. Failing that, food, drink, gambling, gasoline, and a (very) small hardware store is available in Searchlight, 20 miles east (paved road). If you want to get your feet wet, another 12 miles east (from Searchlight), is Cottonwood Cove on the Colorado River - there is a nice small café in the Marina right on the water, as well as a general store (if you forgot something). If you have not been there in a couple years, it is now a National Park , so will cost you to get in - unless you bought your annual or lifetime pass.

This locale was in the news several months ago - a Pot Company (??) bought the entire "town", population about 20. Not sure how things are working out on that topic. Google is your friend.

For Info: Mitch Hart five to oh five four nein nein fore fiver sex

I'm assisting Dave, and don't know much more than what I posted. This is kind of a laid back rally. No poker run, no bar-b-ques planned (yet), no group rides (yet), no raffles. No T-shirts - but if some enterprising soul wanted to do one, I'm in!

As of yesterday, there were still Hotel rooms and Cabins available. The Cabins are Pet Friendly - don't know about the Hotel. If someone wanted to attend, but the Hotel/Cabins were full, and they did not want to camp or RV, there are (2) very reasonably priced Hotels in Searchlight. Unless there is a fishing tournament or a Hare Scrambles Race (they close the roads off, and you get to race through town! How cool is that!) the hotels are almost always available.

We'll be leaving Tucson mid Friday morning on the (Screaming Yellow Zonker) Valkyrie.
