Escaping the Winter Blast
Living vicariously through you right now.
Had been posting samples from the trip down Baja here, but if you wish to see more of the story, go to my blog: ridingthehorizon.com.

Have made it back across the border into the USA. The last couple of days riding north was hairy, we caught the tail end of a Pacific Front that blew across the US. Riding narrow lane twisting mountain roads with gale force cross winds, stinging rain, freezing temps, dodging cows, horses, burros and coyotes who were wandering lost on the roadway, then the small villages not able to handle the rain run off, so streets were flooded with sloppy brown mud and huge puddles that looked like lakes of unknown depth. When I finally crossed north into southern California, there was snow on the ground for the next fifty miles until I could get to a lower elevation.
Sound miserable?.. was a great day of challenging sidecaring. Will make you feel more alive and overjoyed to be alive. Better than any eight hour day at the computer. Though I think the person who said "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" is full of BS.
This older gent was struggling to read the notes he wrote, but his voice was excellent as he serenaded us at the restaurant in San Ignacio. Mostly original songs he composed.
Someone asked why I was selling this BMW-EZS rig after a great adventure in Baja. In the back of my mind I knew the BMW would soon be leaving, so wanted one last hurrah with it before selling. Had zero issues, not even a flat.
Why? Am thinning the herd, three rigs is too many. One had to leave. My future sidecar rides will be more "set the cruise c0ntrol " interstate rides and less exploring adventures.
Jon, not liking the need to s3ll, but liking that future proofing yourself ahead of need is clear thinking.
