Wanted- Velorex cockpit tonneau cover
Anyone have one for sale for a 1982 Velorex 562? Please PM or email with photo (if possible) price and condition.
Thanks!

I believe I still have mine, in the garage. If I do you can have it for whatever shipping costs. I'll check and let you know as soon as I can.
Thanks. That would be great (and a big help)!
Sorry it took so long to get back, I'm recovering from a slight stroke, and I'm not as quick as I used to be. I found what I think is my Velorex's cover, but I'm not positive. What I have doesn't have snaps, but has grommets at the corners, to secure it. It appears to be in nice condition, only needs to be cleaned up.If this sounds like what you need let me know.
If this sounds like what you need let me know.
I also found the old roof cover, but it seems to be in need of some TLC.
Sounds like it is the right one. I sent you a PM
email sent as requested
There are two different styles of 562's and their tonneaus. The 562 Standard (pictured) snaps across the front behind the windshield.
The 563E model Attached has the tonneau secured over the top of the windshield and doesn't have the front 5 snaps.

I even have still the rain cover with its bars. On both my rigs the first thing to go was the windshield and the rain cover.
But have no idea what are the diferences between your year and mine from 2001.

The convertible tops are the same, only the tonneaus are different because the 562/03 "E" model has no place behind the windshield to mount snaps as the windshield is mounted to a body flange with 5 small screws and their is no small dash panel.
The first visual difference between the two is the "E" has a large loop grab bar that is covered with ribbed rubber hose and the cockpit surround also has a matching ribbed rubber surround moulding (also flange mounted).
The 562 Standard cockpit has a more finished curving side appearance, a small grab baron the dash, windshield has its own lower mountings and uses three "L" shaped body mounts. The cockpit has a finished rolled fiberglass surrounding edge. The 562 Standard has a more finished look with or without the windshield and a protruding (but necessary) grab bar is not needed to brace the upper body from racking and get in the way of tall passengers knees.
Up until the Cruiser models (2004/5 with 20mm axle) the Standard also had plusher upholstery than the economy "E" model.
Whew,
