We are needing help with finding parts for a California 1980 sidecar. We are putting it on a street glide Harley 2006.
Thank you
Donnie

Donnie,

If you want help it would be a good idea to tell us what you want and where you are. Your profile is blank except for your name. I understand a desire for privacy but needing help and staying "cloaked" doesn't compute.

We can help with mounting hardware, www.bikescreen.com has windshields, Florida sidecar products has suspension springs and lens, we have suspension bushings. We also have a set up to add a disk brake and for people reading this down the road we also for the newer sidecars make brake rotors, carry brake pads and replacement shocks. There is also a thread some where in the forum about replacement parts for these sidecars.
There are items on your sidecar that if still stock are not safe. If it has a cast spoke 16 inch wheel, these are known to fail. If it still has the ball clamp lower mounts, these also fail, and if you have universal frame clamps that do not have 1/4 inch cross bolts these are also known to fail. And, the 5 flat springs for the torsion suspension fail as well. There are up grades and or ways to work around the problems.
To load photo's first make your post, then go to the edit function. From there you can add photo's.
I would also be glad to help you via the phone or email.

You have the ball collet mounts which are known to fail, you also have the torsion suspension which will need to be inspected and while apart the bushing it all pivots on should be replaced. I can not make out from the photo's what you have for bike side mounts. Nor of course can I tell if you have the wheel that is known to have issues. If your wheel bolts on with 4 bolts you are ok. We can help you with this as can some other companies.
