The K100LT is known for being good tugs (although some years/models had things to watch for).
Paired with an EML sidecar they are also supposed to be good handling rigs.

Nice shape
Reasonable miles (51,000)
Hopefully the output shaft alignment and final drive shim work has been done at this point since it's still operating.
Illegitemi non carborundum est!
The asking price for that rig above is only $ 5,500. That seems a very fair price.
However, I would remove that barn door of a windshield on the bike, and increase fuel mileage by 5 mpg.

Yeah, that thing's HUGE!
But at $5500 you gotta little dosh left over (at least enough for a cutting wheel).

That's the thing about these I was trying to remember! Nice one, Thane.
If anyone is interested in this rig, definitely ask the seller if that stuff's done and do a little homework on the why's and how's of it.
@DaveFran on here knows a thing or two about these rigs and their foibles.
Not trying to scare anyone. These are top notch rigs that some folks feel are well worth dealing with the wear issues.
I would keep the windshield.Posted by: @miles-ladueThe asking price for that rig above is only $ 5,500. That seems a very fair price.

Why?
Because I own a roll of masking tape and one of these!
That does look like a nice rig for the right buyer.
Ok I was just going to post that one but Drew is looking out for you guys .
It's probably pre-abs less complication , probably no O2 sensor , 2 valve less complication, the early K 100 had bigger thicker radiators ,
Has EML steel swingarm all 4 or 5 shocks are rebuild-able, they didn't have final drive issues , biggest issue is heat under tank add more insulation , take the lowers off.
She is from the good old days , if I had more time and money this would be a great K1200 engine conversion candidate.
I miss my k1100/EZS rig, the big yellow EML is better but not 20% better.
