Your Wish is Granted...
Just throwing this out there, based on knowing what you have experienced :
What car/tug do you have now ?
Would you wish for a different rig ?
If the rig is no longer made you can wish for it too.
So what would you want and why ?
20010 FLHX with Liberty Classic.
I have what I want.

I already have the bike, I'm looking forward to someday adding a sidecar to it for my son to ride in.

I currently ride a 1996 Aspencade with a California Friendship 3 sidecar
I would love to have my Valkyrie/ Ural rig back, but wouldn't give up the Goldwing for it.
The only other one I can think of would be a 2012 Goldwing with a Hannigan, but I have to wait until 2 or 3 other people own it first.
I love my Moto Guzzi and M72. No one has anything like it around and my wife loves it.......
Pretty much satisfied with my '99 BMW R1100RT w/EZS sidecar. Sometimes wish I had a car on my '09 Triumph T100. The EZS is too big to fly the car gracefully but I'm betting the T100 with a Velorex or its equivalent would fly!

With no ballast, absolutely!

I am presently restoring a 65 Pan with a period hack.
I had a similar rig many years ago and liked it a lot.
I think those heavy old hacks might be hard on the machine, but I'm older and slower too.
I'm keeping the 4 speeds, but converting to hand shift for grins.
You need those 4 gears out in real life.
Very easy to get off or have the old lady get out and push if reverse is needed.
I would like to test out an old R75 or similar out of curiosity.
Oh good! A photo-op thread; I always enjoy seeing everyone's outfit, and sharing my own.
I've a '79 Guzzi 1000SP w/ a Hannigan Classic; I know, I need to take new photos, but what the heck:
No question on the Guzzi; it was, and is, my first and favorite choice. As for the sidecar, I had originally wanted either a Hedingham Sprite:

Or a Hedingham SS:

Why? Simply like the look. Difficult for the passenger to get into/out of, true. But man, don't they look good! A bit pricey, however.
Then I discovered Hannigan, and went that way instead. Good looks, much more user friendly, and they happen to be close by. No regrets. The only thing I would really like to add would be an anti-roll/sway bar.
Especially if I could get Claude to build it... 🙂
I too `am happy with my rig....the Roadstar 1700 is a tractor!! it has so much torque and traction with car tires on it
the "hack" is a Texas sidecar...well made and strong couplings.....`cause, when you get the rig the way you want it finally...you just can`t leave good things alone??!! this sound familiar people???
I`am already thinking of changing the "style" of my rig...maybe going for the Vintage look??
gonna call Claude later on and talk to him about a CSM-1 body to fit my S/C frame......wifes don`t understand this stuff.....Oh my......
Mike.....

just dreaming: Zuendapp or beemer 750 with water cooled engine, blocked differential, and low (pigs) gear.
Growing back and becoming a youngster again but with nowerdays experience for not to repeat the same nonsense decisions?
No I don't think that would be so good. I have now many years surplus life I am very grateful for.
God Bless you all and enjoy every moment, it will not come back.

The best of my life is sidecar drive.
Since July 2007 I have a stream/silver GL 1800|03 attached with an EML GT 2001 sidecar with following modifications for easy handling and comfortable driving >
- ExtensoDive front fork with a 165/65R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” front
wheel assembly.
- A stiffer aluminium triple tree replaces the stock lower triple tree.
- The steering head is made longer and is reinforced.
- The Honda available brake disc covers is being mounted.
- The sidecar is mounted on a stiff sub-frame attached under the engine.
- A 185/60R15 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 15” rear wheel assembly.
Up to now I have driven 45k kms with joy and fun all over Germany and Europe. I love it and will never give up sidecar riding till the end of my days.
The GL 1800 is the Mercedes of the Goldwings and so the best choice as a tug with endless power, comfort and reliability.
