Last week I had the tire store put studs in a new tire anticipating the coming winter. It started snowing last night. I haven't put the tire on yet, so I went for a ride without it. Biggest problem so far is to fix the leak in my left boot and defog my face shield. Winter is here and I haven't even put the lawn furniture away. This could be a long winter

It's jn the high 80's here in Mesa AZ, I even wear shorts driving the sidecar. You can have the snow, Doug formerly from MN.

I finally got away for a fun ride. Climbed to 8000 feet on a worn out rear tire. 60 degrees and the snow is mostly gone, but I found about 3 inches of snow in the shade. Old tire worked great. I added a skirt to my fairing to keep the slush off my left foot. That also worked great. Now I'll make one for the right side.

If you need any extra mounts for the Cozy, Velorex mounts work. Use plenty of ballast at first with a light car, you'll be glad you did.

79 F tomorrow but no Indian summer here since we haven't had a killer frost yet, just nice early autumn weather.

I'd love to see snow again.
Now you even get heated clothing,
Best things in my time were swedish sheep skin military trousers from 1942.
Thick foam boots, a felt/vinil "Kutscher's"-blanket. Electrically heated grips and thick foam handle covers. Haveing the skiers in the sidecar as emergency dingy was excellent. And in deed spikes are faboulous. But when the snow becomes too deep. A rope arround the back tire and a sheet metal that lifts the sidecar up and inhibits the SC-frame from causing you to spin right that makes a difference.

A thermos bottle with "Grog" or "Glühwein" and you are happy.
