is there any thing magic about triple trees?
I am going to wipe up some trees for a klr 650 with an enduro sidecar 1 inch 6061 for the trees and 3031 for the stem...copy dimension from a pair of KLR stock 650 trees.......and set 4 degree off vertical for the mill to bore a hole or four........will cost folks about 200 bucks for material........but would like to try from 3 degrees to 6................establish something cool and we all will be happy and I will manufacture a set for all test riders

Different bikes have different neck rake angles. That and tire size usually determines trail, assuming the trees don't also have a built in rake. There is a lot of difference in trail numbers so, no "one fits all" rake number will work.
Trial and error till the best degree is found seems to be the way to go.

Good Luck,

Lonnie
