Now that I have a sidecar, I feel enthusiastic in meeting and riding with other sidecarist in Chicago-----but----I can't find any.

Closest group of folks having sidecars is about 45 miles away-----wondering if any one partaking in this forum is within Chicago proper?

All I see are crotch rockerts and scooters zipping in, out and between cars and people 😮 :O 😉

Chicago Randy, a long term foilist, who frequents the Soviet Steeds site, is from Chicago. The IMZWA message board, Russian Iron site and Soviet Steeds site all have member lists that one can view and see where other hack pilots reside from. Easy to link up with them from the member's lists. Of course, these are Ural or Dnepr sites, mainly, but sidecars never the less. Hope you find some other sidecarists near you to link up with and enjoy a good ride and friendship. Lots of sites have member lists. Not sure if Advrider site has such, but make a post there and you will likely find several folk from Chicago. Good luck with finding some folk.

45 miles away? Sounds like a good excuse for short little ride to me.

Not far but it would be more fun to ride there with fellow sidecarists instead of alone.

Jay,
don't bother yourself. Only long time ago in Germany I could ride with others.
In my case in the whole country there are only about 12 rigs, 6 were set up by my Jawa importer buddy.
and on the street I saw only 3 in 22 years, obviously never when I rode mine myself.
Never had the pleasure to ride together with my friend or other rigs now for 22years.
Is there a need for it?
The attention is defientely exclusive (...on my riding dogs or kids).

Enough joke. The worst accidents happen in group riding, mainly because sombody starts to show off. Worse when the group is mixed and sombody had a few beers.
I had been invited for saturday trips, but because the rig isa way diferent riding then the the solos, and these bobos have no butt muskles We just wave each time we met. Sometimes 6 times on the same trip.
And in former times in Germany there were many more rigs, but I remember only few rig tours, and again everybody had such a diference in riding that the group splited up fast.
Sven
