Well last Saturday me n the sidecar monkey spent the morning doing an all over bike inspection and sidecar alignment. only took about 2 ours total. later we took a short ride to town , abut 40 miles round trip. Monday , Memorial day , we rode to the local Tomahawk MX and watched practice runs for a few hours and checked out the kids track since Aiden got his first dirt bike a fw weeks ago.
Below is Aidens collection, the training wheels came off the dirt bike first time he rode it.

Dough, your grandson has quite a collection. Soon he might claim for his 3rd wheel again, if you continue to pull him in the rig....
Best wishes from somebody who prays that his kids will wait a while longer before making him Grandfather.

Rode to the Unrally in Ellensburg last Friday. Spent some time at the rally but more time with two cousins, two long time very dear friends (gave rides in the sidecar to both) and visited my aunt in the nursing home there. A fabulous week end indeed!!! Petey was pooped by the time we got home on Monday though. He missed out on his routine naps...

Sophie Travelair and I gave our share to the comunity. In the neighbourhood they change the asphalt and block 2 important crossings plus a bridge for 1-2 weeks during the day. As the contractor just closed the 4 access roads I picked up some cartoon a pilot pen, rope and package tape and marked 11 of the 15 involved deviation crossings. The contractors engineer doesn't have that common sense...
Wellcome in Latinamerica. Now I might even have to worry about getting sued...
Stopped when the rain started.

Today I got my mouth wide open. I brought my son to lessons with Sophie. As the weather is gorgeous I passed by a public parking lot owned by an old man who once rode a HD with hand shift.
He didn't want a lift around the neighbourhood as today is his 97th birthday and he had to pick up flowers for his wife's cementery who passed by tomorrow 12 years ago. .....
He took off in car driving by his own .... downtown and nothing slow.

Here my birthday song for him.

I pull my hat
I was tempted to pull the camera as you buddies never believe...

12:50 Miss Daughter had 10 minutes to get to the University....due to the construction and jams we took the solo-KLR. Weather was acceptable....
13:00 cats and dogs .continues still.came home soaked. 1h 20min for 20 miles was INCREDIBLY fast.
3 showers a day are enough. it rained until midnight so strong that the main transport Road to the caribean Port of Limon
got cut off by a land slide.

Sunday Aiden and I went to Greencastle PA for the 24th Operation God Bless America ride. All money raised goes to the "recreational fund" for the veterans in the Martinsburg WV V.A. hospital. this years ride raised $35,000. so the vets have things to do while staying long term in the hospital. Over 1700 bikes and 2100 people registered for the ride. of all those bike there were three sidecars known to be in the ride, mine , another guy we ran into with his wife and two kids in the hack and THE man Elton . Elton has lead the ride for 24 years , he is now 90 years old and had a stroke last january .
