A friend of mine, Navy veteran, told me that the Marine Corps is just a department of the Navy.

I agreed with him by telling him "Yes. We are the men's department."

He quit talking to me;-)

Made a short ride with Raskie, today, Jena's new 4-month-old sidecar pup-in-training, with him riding in a travel kennel. So far, so good. Maddie showed Raskie around one of her favorite stops - a local boat ramp with lots to sniff:

My wife and I left last Wednesday morning to go to Council Grove, KS for the Joyce Canfield memorial Sidecars in the Flint Hills Rally. A group of us rode to Junction City, KS to watch the Cannonball Run antique bikes come in on Thursday afternoon. One bike was a 1914 model. Saw Steve Woodward (USCA Membership Registrar) there. He will be driving a support vehicle as they continue west. We arrived home yesterday evening. The rally was a very pleasant event with very cool temperatures. We turned over our 10,000th mile this year during yesterday's ride.

This week we leave for Lawton, OK to attend Jane's family reunion in the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge. That will be a two day ride down, a day there, and another two days to return. Then it will be time to prepare for harvest, prepare for the coming tax season, and begin thinking about next year's rides.

We are in Duncan Ok. Heading home from Joyce's memorial rally in Kansas. Spent one day visiting Cannonball riders in Kansas. Will try to post some pictures when we get home.

A beautiful day in Iowa. Took a good friend who is visiting from Oregon for a swing through the cornfields. Stopped for a break along the Des Moines River and sat on a picnic table for a long time enjoying the afternoon. Drove through a creek that was flowing over a road. Got a little wet as we splashed through it. Got home in time for a BLT sandwich. Traveled about 80 miles. A great day in Iowa.

20.000km Ural 2013 inspection.
A typical Pedro Hernandez day.
"If you need to get something done, have it ready at noon."
since 1pm it rains cats and dogs. since 2PM it is so dark I couldn't continue. So spokes and carbs have to wait for tomorrow.
