Any rallies this summer West of the Continental Divide?
Well, let's see. You've got your Yakima Unrally over Memorial Day Weekend in Yakima, WA. There is Griffith Park in October, there is the Ears over the border rally late September, early October. Those are sidecar specific. The Butterfly Rally in May is only a little way over the continental dvide in NM in early May. What's your Motorcycle? There may be some brand specific rallies. I hope some other will chime in too. Let's see...
are you forgetting somthing steve, what about the north califorina sidecar rally i do every spring
I knew there was at least one more rattling around in my head. Seems like there is another Big Foot rally too.
Wasn't sure when you were moving to Pasco!
can you tell me more about these please?
thanks,
rpc
Well, lesssee. The Yakima Unrally is about as laid back a rally as you will find. Memorial Day Weekend. The Yakima KOA Campground is nice and shaded. There is no rally fee, no pin. You can buy a T-shirt and you pay for your camping directly with the campground. Oh - if you show up, you are automatically a member of the Northwest Sidecar Pilots. Congratulations! Chris & Sherry Smith are the hosts. jcsa@wavecable.com.
Butterfly Rally - 5/11-14. Starts in Roswell, ends up in Taos. Ron Miller is your man. miller_6705@msn.com.
Bigfoot Sidecar Club Kootney Kampout, Kaslo BC last year. Early September? Contact jcheney@triad.rr.com.
Ears Across the border - late September in Concrete, WA. Contact Nancy-boris@aol.com.
Griffith Park - 35 years this year! Towards the end of October. www.sidestrider.com/event.htm
May 20th - Berryessa Rally/Picnic already mentioned in this thread.
Depending on where you are, there are also a couple of one day deals that are a lot of fun: Sunday, June 25th - MDA Summer Camp sidecar ride in North Bend, WA. Show up with your sidecar and make some kids happy. Also, Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation has a series of rides. The Puget Sound one is September 10th leaving and returning to Remlinger Farms in Carnation. Even if all the kids have rides, you get to go at the front with a sidecar! http://www.ride4kids.org/pugetsound/index.htm
