I wouldn't think one would be needed with such a heavy bike/light sidecar combo.

Make sure the damper is not set so it maxes out it's travel or bottoms out when the bars are turned. Also if mounted on the lower fork legs allow for suspension travel in all directions. Mounting it as close to 90 degrees to the fork tube angle is best. If the damper moves in and out during suspension travel you can experience some bump steer when running on rough surfaces.
I do tend to agree with Lonnie (usually do ) in that a combination such as yours shoudl not need a damper. I would suggest that you talk to Bob Darden and see what he has for input.
