Viva La Difference !!
Just took my Harley rig for it's maiden ride after adding the Liberty raked triple trees and JEGS proportioning valve for the sidecar disc brake. Man what a difference! I spent a fair amount of time getting it properly set up last fall but with the raked trees it steers like a dream. The valve also has allowed me to do a panic stop in a straight line by jamming all the brakes. Squeals all tires at once without going severely to the right like before. Cool. Worth every penny and tearing the front apart.
What kind of valve did you use and how did you set it up?
B-roadglide I sent you a PM

Buenas Noticias,
Que viva la diferencia!
To me the third wheel saved me today from kissing the ground...
While I greated a friend the car in front of me stepped in his break.
Seams like every wheel went into its own direction.
So I am pretty interested in what kind of proportional valve you got and how much adjustabillity you get with it.
Best regards
Sven
Where did you get the JEGS proportioning valve for the sidecar disc brake you spoke of? What type of sidecar are you using?
I have a Liberty sidecar. The valve was from JEGS. I did need new lines and a number of fittings to make it work. I got those from JP cycles. I wish I could help you more. I remember it required a fair amount of research for me as I am not up on brake fittings
Thanks

Hello Kevin,
I looked into Jegs webpage. They have several proportional valves for different uses ... I would love to see the internal setup and working principle of these valves.
But from the little that I was able to read...frankly I do not think the car type valves would get a TÜV approval in Germany. Rejoin the 2 separate pressure lines for to lower the pressure of the back brakes, that sounds strange to me.
Which type did you use and how does it work for you on the rig?
On the Guzzi I remember that you split one pressure line into 2 separate lines where one line recieves fixed 60% of the presure and the other 40%.
Its a receiving piston with 2 different diameters on the output sides. Therefore you cannot change the ratio.
Best regards
Sven
