46u - 7/25/2013 7:54 PM When Dot s mother went in to labor with her she was taken to the hospital in her husband s sidecar. Dot s last motorcycle.
Saw that pink sidecar rig on display at the AMA museum near Columbus, Ohio, some years ago.
Photo of my daughter with Dot Robinsons rig taken in 2000 on our way to the first USCA Lexington rally
A few more just for fun.
Thanks Swamp Fox these are nice!
A few more pictures from a long lost time.
This was the parking area at a hill climb in April of 1917.
Another Sunday outing.
How many of you adventurists would ride on this rig?
Winter riding with good old American know how
Package trucks for the working man.........
I bet this was one tough old guy back in his day. It looks like he drove the crap out of his rig while having a great time doing it.
Back in the day I bet this could have been any town USA.
Couple more
Thanks for all the pictures. π

I bet this was brand new just out of the dealer show room. Everything looks new even her riding boots.
"Grandpa and his sidecar".
This guy could have been one of the flat trackers of the 1930's hauling his racing bike and extra parts around with him on his sidecar rig.
The picture pretty much explains itself.
My Mom & Dad in front of Harley shop 1936.
And just think the only brake on the old rigs till 1928 for Harley s first year with a front brake was the poor band brake on the back of the bike.

Being Harley did not come out with a return oil system till 1936 on the knuckle head more then likely most of these bikes are total loose oil systems.
Jay,
Do you know where the photo was taken, also any idea what year their bike was I see two sidecar's in the photo.
Any chance you could post a higher resolution picture, I like to try and identify the different brands of bikes that may be in the photo. From what I can see there are a couple of JD models and some VL models a few I can't see well enough.
Great photo, one to treasure for years to come.

I would think the big twins where mostly J and V models as the picture was taken in 1936 the first year of the knuckle. Could even be before the knuckle hit the dealer ship. Now 36 was the last year for the V and the U did not come out till 37.
