My 03 HD RK with TLE just started to feel like I am going over rough pavement when turning to the right at about 40-50 mph. To the left is still smooth.

My feeling is that it is tires but they all look OK - no cupping, etc.

Anything else that could cause this?

Clarify a little, 03 harley road king, what's TLE?
Does it only do it empty or does it do the same loaded? It not you.

TLE is the Harley factory sidecar. I haven't tried it with a load but most of the time the car is empty. This just started and it's strange. Only seems to happen at 40-50 mph or above. If I turn slowly to the right it isn't noticeable but if I turn harder it feels like the pavement got rough. Nothing at all going left.

Alignment maybe. Could be tire chatter.

I would agree with alignment causing tire chatter, possibly the type of tread amplifying it.

Have you checked that all your mounts are still tight? And tire pressure still good?

I'll bet the muffler bearings are oscillating.

What Hack'n said , alignment . My 01 Sporty with Velorex just started that same thing one day last week. I checked it and alignmetn was off.. the sidecar tire was leaned in slightly and had almost zero toe in.

Thanks - I'll check the allignment (hasn't been done for awhile).

The muffler bearings are brand new and factory sealed so I doubt that they are a factor. 🙂

Note for WVsporty, My velorex of a few years ago developed some looseness that I discovered to be the swing arm bearing outer race was loose in its' socket.
I used .003 shim stock to encircle it and squeezed it back in. Problem solved

I had a FLHT/TLE and put over 75,000mi. on it. The rear mount has a habit of loosening up slightly and shifting the alignment. Nothing visible to the eye but if you have saved your initial measurement for lean out, etc. it is a simple check.
