Velorex 562 and Honda rebel
Hello all,
I am wanting to mount a Velorex 562 to a Honda Rebel and I want to know if the Velorex universal mounting kit will work for this installation? The primary reason for this set-up is to keep me riding a little longer. There will not be any passenger in the sidecar unless I can teach my small dog to ride.[20lb terrier mix]
Also, does anyone have any pictures of where these mounts attach to the Rebel frame? Both the cycle and sidecar are 2005 models.
Thanks in advance for any info and advice.

The Velorex mounting kit can be used. Look on the Velorex site for optional mounting positions.

Johnny Sweet, I quote You here:
"Because of Progressive Liberal policies the light at the end of the tunnel has been temporally turned off."
That sounds like hash critizysm of nowerdays financial politics. Specially in relation to Europe.
Haven´t laughed as much for quite a while.
Thanks for the insight

I've been a free enterprise Entrepreneur my entire adult life. I earned two fortunes and was smart enough to hold onto one. I've designed motorcycle sidecars, been hired to do design work for some of the Super Bike company's like Suzuki, and was chosen in 2008 to design the Victory Crossbow Trike for the now defunct Lehman Trike company. Even though I retired six years ago I've kept my hands in the game and I still have a fire in my belly for the free enterprise system, and live every day with the Entrepreneurial spirit flowing in my veins. Having been involved in all this, I still have one more project that I want to partake in before I run out of time. I'm 68 and realize I won't be around forever. To fill out my three wheel portfolio I have one more design to complete. At this time I'm in the process of designing and developing a high mileage Tilting Trike/vehicle like the 1980's GM Lean Machine, or the Carver Tilting three wheel car/vehicle that was built in Europe. My design for the tilting mechanism is mechanical and not a complicated $10,000 electrical unit using linear actuators, but a simple design using automobile components costing as little as $200 to build. The reason I'm telling you this is the American dreamer is almost a thing of the past. I belong to different Engineering and Entrepreneurial groups and almost everyone in all the groups feel the same way. Our way of life is being threatened because of bureaucratic red tape and many of the new rules, regulations and taxes about to be imposed on us in the near future. We designers are a true 1% of the population, but we realize this and only ask for a fair shake if we are willing to give up everything in search of an idea while other only take and never give up anything. So the phrase " Because of Progressive Liberal policies the light at the end of the tunnel has been temporally turned off" runs true to itself. These policy's are killing us free spirited Entrepreneurs and if things don't change in the very near future it will be to late for most small company's and it will only be a matter of time before most will be out of buisness.

You speek out of my soul.
Since 1990 I was forced to start my own business 10 years earlier then I had planned; And now after 22 years as a freelance automation engineer with his own machine- and electric-shop passing most of the time in other peoples factories I see the same game here in Costa Rica. The small innovative persons get outranged by the big ones and overregulation, dump providers who compare apples with peers and most of all inescrupulous commerciants who flood the market with eastern garbage which has the only thing to do with real machines, is the photo in the catalogue....
And the dump politics dance accourding the Lobbies flute of commerce, transnationals and bankers.
Never think about improoving home production and productivity.
The real employers and innovators all over the world are small and medium size businesses, not the big brands, they just plug the tube for to milk their cash cows....
Remember fuel cells are a German patent from 1927 (around) and were used already in WW2 but locked into military secret until 1987-88.
Petrol is just a too important resource for to burn it as fuel or cheap plastic trash. It should be used as a long term chemical resource for many coming generations.

Sorry about my hitchhike of this thread.
For to get back to the thread.
The Honda Rebel is the air cooled 2 cylinder CB400/CB450/CB500???
May I suggest a water cooled engine.
Myself, I just broke my aircooled Jawa 350, 2 cylinder, 2 stroker engine with the rig trying to cross the Cordillera 5 weeks ago.
Now I am looking for a new watercooled 4 stroke engine that fits into this pretty wide frame (for such a small bike).
As suggestions I got until now Kawa EN500/VN500.
Does have somebody more suggestions?
Best regards
Sven Peter
