Does anyone run a V star 1100 classic with a steering dampner? I want to add one and could use some help with the mounting.

We have found that with good stout mounts, a good stout sidecar that is properly aligned that that there is no need for a damper as it is usually used to hide other problems. There are a few bikes that we have found that really can benefit from a damper, the V star 1100 is not one of them.
However to answer your question, I would go with a VW beetle damper, one end to a 10mm hiem joint that attaches to the fender mount, the other end to a tab welded to the upper front strut. We offer a "universal" kit to do this $250 however again, if set up right you should not need one.

I have a 2003 V star Classic with a Calif. sidecar 3 (doublewide) with a steering damper. I'm no gearhead, all I could do is send pictures by cellphone. I bought it this way.
