HI FOLKS:
Old Tom aka papasmurf here. Am perfectly happy with our 4th rig['95GLSE/CSC FSIII; ridden 30,00 miles to-date by wife & I]. BUT always wondered how Rocket 3 Beast would do as a Tug. MUST BE someone here who owns one and can relate the experience to us! You could hang a LOT of different hacks on that Steed! TTFN.....

PLEASE PRAY for son Mike, on combat patrols in Iraq.

Hi,

there are 8 different solutions to fit a sidecar to the Rocket over here in Europe. I donΒ΄t know of any problems. DonΒ΄t hesitate to do it.

At this time the Rocket 3 is my personal number one drool maker to have a sidecar on.
Just an opinion of course πŸ™‚

Talk to Dauntless. I met a guy at Anamosa last fall with one they put together and he just loves it.

There was one for sale at Hannigan's when i added the GTL to my Wing. You might call them?

I considered a R3, lots of good points. Wing seemd better for my intended use (long distance touring) but the R3 would be pretty cool.

Except for one factor - DAMM are they ugly! Even worse, in my humble(?) opinion, than the Rune.

I'll never forgive Triumph for taking the name of a wonderful 3 cylinder BSA and applying it to that.... thing.

Sarge, you of all people talking about a bike being ugly? LOL
Personally I think the Rocket 3 is beautiful. Wish it had one more cylinder though (3058 cc or so)
Rune? Uh...no comment πŸ™‚

Some combinations just click. Like a Hannigan on a Goldwing or a Ural on an R60. I think a Rune with an Armec Stradale would be another one.

For that matter, It don't look bad on a Rocket 3, does it?

As they say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder."

And remember who says the K-Monster is butt-ugly!

I had posted some photos a while back of a R3/homemade sidecar from last years National Rally.

To be perfectly honest about it I do like the looks of the Rocket 3...BUT... Even if I didn't it would not matter.
POWER wins out over looks. Wonder if they make a turbo for one?

K Monster? Beautifullly ugly...JUST RIGHT AND GETTING BETTER!!
Now about that pink mowhawk of yours I have my reservations.

Claude...When things get serious looks don't count

Not to worry. I have discovered there is no way to install the thing on a Nolan flip-face helmet. My appearance shall remain unsullied!

Unsullied? Not sure what that means but with the helmet on that can;t be too bad.
