Evening all and Happy New Year.  This is a little off topic for the USCA, but considering a trailer for towing a single, non sidecar motorcycle.
Came across this .....

https://autohoistsusa.com/products/bb107ru-single-ride-up-srl-stand-up-motorcycle-trailer?utm_medium=paid&utm_source=fb&utm_id=120238117557910031&utm_content=120238117557920031&utm_term=120238117557900031&utm_campaign=120238117557910031&fbclid=IwY2xjawPCXille

and wonder if any of you have experience with it???  Folds up for storage when not in use .. seems really easy to load the bike.  But I am not an expert, heck I'm not even a novice when compared to the knowledge base in the group .. hence I ask the question.

Adolph, these Kendon fold up trailers have been around for years, and we'll received.  No real faults with them, depending on how large of a motorcycle you plan to haul around.  Meaning....a very heavy motorcycle might require a more substantial trailer, whereas a lighter motorcycle would be ideal for this trailer.

Suggestion: see if there is a lightly used one online....selling for half the price of a brand new one.

Hello Adolph, While my bike towing experience is limited to short hauls, (although I did flat tow a bike across 4 states once) With a Kendon only a couple 40 mile trips towing the dual rail model with two Harleys. I worked at a dealer that sold the Kendon line of products, and I set up many of their trailers when they arrived from the factory, (basically final assembly).

The loading system works well to me, the trailer squats a bit when loading the bike, so the transition from ramp to trailer is nearly flat. The wheel chock does lock the front wheel pretty well, even with a heavy bike that has a skinny front tire.

Standing them up on the casters, to me, is a two person job. The single rail model is hard to see in your mirrors without a bike on it. You can't really walk a bike up to load it, because there isn't enough footing area, so a pilot on the bike and a push works if the bike doesn't run.

This was at a Harley dealer, so they were being sold to folks with 800 lb. bikes, single bike models have a 1000 lb. capacity I believe. I don't think I would do a long trip with a heavy bike with one, but for shorter trips, and for folks dealing with an HOA, (because you can hide it in the garage or backyard) they seem well suited.

@adolph-galonski I have a different folding and standup motorcycle trailer, Long Ching, Chinese made which I assembled from a kit. I hauled my V-star 1100, 680lbs back and forth from NC - NJ several times and once to Ontario Canada. It performed very well being dragged by my 2006 Chevy Equinox fwd. You have to have a spotter when backing because you can't see what the trailer's doing in the mirrors. I also ride the bike up the provided ramp to the 20" deck height. It's much less strain to have a helper when raising and lowering on the casters.

I own a Kendon 2 rails for around 15 years: it is super practical and can be pulled by a small SUV, I used to own a bunch of vintage bike so it’s been used a lot! Sidecars fit in it when not too large. I check/grease wheels bearings every 10,000 miles. It is cheaper to buy new wheels set than replace tires! One huge caveat: backing up is a pain (before the usuals “it is just a question of knowing how!”, I hard numerous pals doing this for a job, from professional towing companies to long haul truckers and they reached the same conclusion). You can had a big metal box in the front and a wheel for the tongue but it then impossible to store it vertical for one person.

Thanks for the responses  .. Not surprised at the depth of the knowledge base here...   This would be for hauling the Sporty mostly.  Prices seem to vary quite a lot by vendor .. listings on-line for new run from $3500 down to $2000  .. then delivery.  Found a "refurbished" for $2400.  Going to wait for this freakin winter to be over  .. I know - a long way to go ... and then start shopping seriously.  Again, thank you all for input and have a Happy New Year.

Adolph, if you wait for Winter to be over, the prices will go up. Late Fall and Winter is when prices for anything related to motorcycles are at their lowest.

Spring and Summer are when prices are up.

I suggest buying that refurbished one for $ 2,400.

Hey, at least there's humor!  Ive become less and less pleased with fleaBay of late.  Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace are filled with their own perils!
