The Haircut
One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.'

The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses
waiting for him at his door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm doing community service this week.'

The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.

Later a Biker with a Sidecar comes in for a haircut, when he tries to pay his bill the barber again says 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.

The Biker was happy and left the shop. The next morning a 'THANKS!! scribbled across a 12 pac of beer and a good cigar attached to it also lay at the door.

Then a Congressman came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.'

The Congressman was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut.

And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.

Well Ed you did include a sidecar but,,,, Posts like this just aren't exactly what this forum is about and politics always cause trouble. I know it says talk about anything and I don't like to delete stuff so please lets leave these someplace else.

Hello Folks,
My name is Russell Hergesell. I'm a new member here, having bought my Rig this past April. You all are a swell bunch of people from what I've been reading over the last couple years as a Solo Rider/Lurker. I hope to get out and start meeting some of you, once I recover from an injury.
So excuse me , but why censor anything in this Forum, labeled "General Discussion'? Maybe change the Title of the thread? so as not to offend anyone?
Ed, Joyce and Lonnie. You all had some excellent points. Well said, All.

Best Regards,

Russell

PS: That joke reminded me of Homer Simpson "It's so funny because it's True".

Well, Hello, and Welcome Russell: 🙂
I sure hope that your injury is not too serious, and that winter doesn't arrive before you get a chance to get in some good rides.

It is nice to know that you have been a regular reader here. I believe one of the strengths of this site is that it pretty much stays on point. Thankfully, religion, and politics and jokes and rants about such things have other websites. As a fellow reader, I commend the moderators for their vigilance. As you may know, the moderators receive NO pay for managing this site. Without their censorship we would have all manner of posts, including porn. ...

The next USCA National Rally (2011) will be in Dayton - Hope to see you there. 🙂

I applause to Ed,
his joke hits a nail right on the head I find frequently disturbing my daily work.

Many years of volunteer work and 20 years of engineering as a self declared devellopment helper in a 3rd world country showed me right the essence of Ed's joke.
The attitude makes the difference. and for sure many persons lack the right one!
Myself I gave more then once a bottle of fine rum, coffee chocklets and good cigars as a thank you.
While some of those I helped out of ugly situations later argued about the bill or not even paid at all, but demanded more free help....
Give them a finger and they will rip off the forearm. > As happened several times.

Resumee: To me this forum is great and a small strawl away is part of it.
In essence this forum is a great community service of a community that is spread all over the world. What joins us is the love to 3 wheels. even if some are not yet infected by the virus, but just currious about "what is to it".

Best wishes to all.
Sven

I liked the joke also. I think the only ones to be offended would be politicians.
Now, I think I'll go for a haircut 😉
