This may be obvious to most of you, but in considering putting a sidecar on my bike, I need to ask if it makes a difference in the bike's tag and/or registration issues by adding a sidecar? I am currently registered in Georgia but in the process of moving to Alabama and changing vehicle tags, etc.
Can anyone enlighten me on this?

In most states, a sidecar is considered an "accessory" and wouldn't affect your tags or registration. It will likely ding you on insurance though if you want that "accessory" covered.

As sidecars do not have VIN numbers (many do have serial numbers) there is no way to track them so as such no state can charge to register them. So no issues at all.
