Sleep Aid
Fell asleep in the chair pretty early tonight, so when it was time for bed I was all rested and couldn’t sleep, soo, maybe this dribble will help put somebody else with the same problem to sleep.
Had to take the written CDL exam today, ( been illegal for a good while:) anyway, I couldn’t help but think a lot of the stuff in the study guide and the exam itself, could also be applied to safe sidecaring …….the study guide might make for some good late night reading or at least a good review of what many of you may have forgotten……..well if your still awake here’s some more fascinating info, they shipped the TLE the 23rd so yeha, won’t be long. I know some one in Washington is suppose to have a good day today…new Liberty!
p.s. save this page and when you have trouble sleeping…. Just read a few lines and… WAM…. Sleep like a baby.
looks like Ernie is sleeping from his last post :o)
Ernie are you there ???
Wake UP!!!!!!!! LOL

Hey LDuck, I got it and got it home and very happy to have done that but the pass was not fun either direction! Little better on the return trip but still nasty! Got lots of snow here and more coming down so it might be a while before I get to do more than polish and admire! Man, it's purty...
Congrats on the new ride, to bad ya had such bad weather up there, believe it or not we get some pretty tough stuff here too, we’re about an hour N.E. of Atlanta just below the Tail of the Dragon,….but hey… drag out the ol’ tire chains 🙂
She sure is a purdy rig.
Yep, we were real close to chaining up on the way over. But had my son's truck and his buddy's trailer. Seth (son) is going to a different size tire on his truck and didn't want us to use the chains if we could help it so he could return them. Chains were required for all but all wheel drive. I figured I'd keep going until the state patrol made me chain up. There were lots of other 4WD rigs unchained but no one else. And we were only doing about 20 through the worst of it. Not bad now but when it's happening and the freeway is jammed up with big rigs as they chain up we were wondering about our timing for the trip. Oh well, such is winter... As far as the return trip, chains were required for over 10,000 GVW, traction tires for everyone else so we were in excellent shape with what we had. Still 20 - 30 a big share of the way over the pass and only about 50 for the rest of I-90. A great adventure... Been there lots of times before but I think old age is sittin' in, it worries me more now.
Man it’s quiet on this forum, ya’ll must be real busy or out riding.
Been here for an hour (Sunday 5 am) waiting on the tanks to warm up and three very smart people, we put in a new strip tanks,, whoooo whoooo.
First thing got do to the TLE sidecar (if it ever gets here) is chrome the leaf springs,
Funny, seems ya don’t here much about the HD TLE sidecar around here???
HELLO, HELLO... any body here 🙂
Good mornin' this mornin'. Fine mornin' we're havin' this mornin'! You just get a head start on those of us a little further west... You're right though. Things are pretty slow on the board here and others right now. Everyone must be out Christmas shopping during the daytime. Yesterday afternoon I was following the B-11 championship football game on the web since we didn't make it over to the Tacoma Dome. Reardan beat DeSales. Reardan is state champs again! Way to go Indians!!
Thanks Claude,
very very interrresting, the price of rice has popped 2 cents!!!!!!!!!
now where else do you think I should go???? LOL
"Been here for an hour (Sunday 5 am) waiting on the tanks to warm up..."
So. Your tanks need to warm up, and I'm thinking, "He drives a tank in the army?" But then Claude posts something about rice prices... You're getting a new sidecar...
So- you're building a portable still to evade the law?!
Have to say Duck, I really recommend you stay with corn and just charge more. Just one mans opinion, but I guarantee you'll get better flavour.
Well, well. I updated my settings this morning and changed pictures. I deleted the old one not realizing it would go away on all my previous posts. Wonder what that did to the price of rice in China.
OK, so if it is in the right place (the new photo that is) it WILL show up. Even on the previous posts. Cool beans. The Chinese can relax.
LDuck,
Well at least you won't need the lead ballast ingot with Bossy in the boat.
My TLE has powdercoated springs and they match the chassis without the extra Bling. I used some of the chrome savings for 5 degree trees. The (unneeded) damper mounting bracket now makes a good place to put a running light or air horns.
Lonnie
Well I could see the rake being a priority, but they aint nobody around here nose what it is or how to install it. The black powder coat springs look good but look how Toms Liberty chrome springs shine,, even in the snow! That kind of bling makes ya wanna wake up to a nice corn flavored rice wine.
Ernie, would the little puppy in your portfolio photo be a Havanese bread?
We’re hoping ours likes the hack life.
