I have 4 motorcycles, and a sidecar rig. I'm considering making my 2002 bmw lt into a trike. Having a sidecar didn't convert me from motorcycles. A motorcycle stills handles much better than any sidecar most of the time.

Trikes and two wheelers are not excluded from this forum. Both are often discussed as they relate to sidecars.

Sidecar ownership is not required to join the USCA or visit this website, only an interest in sidecars. Trike owners interested enough in sidecars to join the USCA will always be welcome, just as two and four wheelers with an interest in sidecars are also welcome. For that matter I suspect we have a few members without a two, three or four wheeler who also visit the site and discuss sidecars. Keeping the USCA conversation directed at sidecars should in no way be interpreted as exclusionary to non-sidecar owners.

Dan Lund of the VROC forum said it best:

"This is just my opinion, but the biggest difference between a sidecar and a trike is.....

A side car makes you look eccentric and adventurous.

A trike makes you look like a Goldwing retiree times two.

Not meant to offend any trike owners, just how it looks to me."

ME TOO!

That's funny. I feel sort of the same way. When I think of sidecars I think of WW11, machine guns on the sidecar, etc. When I think of trikes, i think of the pedal trikes I rode as a very young boy. It's amazing how personal perceptions are hard to change, and how they influence our thinking.

Todd, Clasude and other who have mentioned others are always welcome.....
I visit the Trike forum on the GL1800 site fairly often. I don't have a trike, and no real plans to get one, yet I still find them interesting. I think you are saying the same here.
