Sidecar recommendations for a '79 Bonneville

Hello All,

I have a '79 Bonneville, and would like to find a sidecar for it. I don't plan on long-distance touring, or anything like that. More like day trips, around town, etc. Nothing too strenuous... I know it's an old bike.

My question is what model/brand sidecars should I be looking at that would fit, and be generally matched to my old British bike? I don't want to overtax anything, or purchase a rig that I'll never be able to attach correctly. Secondly, I was interested in a brand that generally matched the period appearance of a '79 British machine.

Thanks much,
Steve

562C and 563T Velorex's fill the bill.

See my post. I just put a sidecar on my 1979 Bonneville Special. It's the Velorex 563. It works great.

Yes, check this thread, there are a lot of good informative posts in it and it addresses the kick starter. I was stationed in England in the 60s and vividly remember lots of Triumphs, BSAs, & Nortons with all kinds of great looking hacks, mostly fully enclosed due to the wonderful weather over there 😉
