An in the transmission reverse conversion supplied by Champion Sidecars is another option less bulky and less prone to failure than the sidecar wheel driven reverse as available on some earlier Harley sidecar rigs. The battery also used up much of the trunk space in the hack.

The Chanpion looks good but for the money, we'll continue to push away from parking spots since I'm still fairly agile. For $1,400 or $1,500 plus labor (mine or someone else's at $90 per hour) those units are rather unappealing.

Yeah, I recall the older (pre-1998) HD brake-drum reverses. They didn't sell at all and won't work with a disc brake in any case. Taking up the trunk with another battery is not a good idea, either.
