Scooter rigs
zdoes anyone have any info on putting a Velorex 562 sidecar on a Honda Reflex scooter? How about a Suzuki Burgman or Yamaha Morpheus or Majesty? Thanks for any advice
Jim,
You may want to contact Bob Darden at Texas Sidecars. He has done a lot of scooter conversions.Google Texas Sidecars and Trikes or click on th ead here at sidecar.com for contact numbers etc.
This year we had Avenele Lewis' scooter which is a Burgman 650 at the shop while her and JR ventured up into new brunwick. I rode it back and forth from home a few times and was amazed at how well it ran along. Very nice rig as far as running goes. No sweat at all at 70 plus and that was about as fast as I really wanted to go. Belive it or not Avenelle has broke a hundred with it. It has one of those very smal california sidecars on it (commuter??) which is no longer in production.
Jim,
I've done the Reflex and Burgman conversions.
I designed a sub-frame for the Reflex's that I passed on to Bob Darden of Texas Sidecar Co. since I have no interest in manufacturing. You can probably get the Reflex sub-frame from him. This is an easy conversion.
The Burgman's will not require a sub-frame but access to the frame points are tough so they are a bear to work with.
The Silverwing 600 scooter is much easier to hack than the Burgman's.
Any of the three make fun rigs.

Jim, I have a Kenna sidecar on my Burgman 650 and love it. You can check out the photos on the Burgman USA web site: http://burgmanusa.com/gallery/welnet/
I've got a Honda SilverWing Maxi Scooter with a Texas Sidecar from Bob Darden. YOu can see a pic of it in the albums here or the home page at Texas Sidecars. IT'll cruise 70 mph all day and handles pretty well.
