Road Trip to Adventuresidecar trainning class
I'm planning on riding from Simi Valley to Hood River, Or for the Adventure Sidecar trainning courses both basic and advanced June 1,2 & 3. I will be leaving on May 30 and take 2 days to get there and leave to return on June 4.
I'm looking for anyone from the So. Cal area that is either planning on attending or thinking about it that would like to ride with me. Vernon will be keeping an eye out for me but I figured what better place to look than here.
Any one up for a 2000 mile week ride? Let me know.
Thanks
Should be a great ride, and a great class... Would love to go, but bad timing for me this year.
Ride safe and say "hi" to Vernon.

Joe,
you may have told me already, but I disremember: what kind of rig are you riding?
Looking forward to seeing you in class,

I have an '06 Street Glide with an '06 TLE Sidecar
you have to decode that for me(LOL) I am guessing a large Harley with?
I googled it and saw pix! Very nice! Sorta a semi bagger with the OEM Harley Sidecar.
I presume you have enuf miles on the thing already that you won't be putting yourself at risk jamming up here from California?
A lot of the driving portion opf the class is done at low speeds. I have had new Harley rigs that had trouble keeping the battery charged during class. If you have an headlight off switch, or know how and can easily remove the fuse for the lights during the class you might have an easier time. Or you can use one of my rigs if you'd like. I will have them available for use during class.

Actually I currently only have just over 400 miles on it, work keeps getting in the way of riding as well as family. I do plan on taking a couple of days to get there, and if I need I'll put some weight in the car. I would be able to pull the fuse for the lights and am planning on using my rig at least for the basic, not sure I want to risk a 40k rig trying to fly it in the advanced. I'll carry my jumper with me as well as my charger so it should not be a problem.
I'll send you a pic of my rig.
