We (my wife and I) plan to ride to Alaska in July following the national rally at Hotchkiss, CO. The exact route is not yet determined, but I need to be in Anchorage for a business seminar beginning July 28. You will not regret the trip. Harold and I did it in 2004. I am not going to be able to make the trip with you and Jane but I will be with you in spirit.

My plans are similar. Planing on the Yukon and possible the NWT Inuvik with one of the dogs. Leaving after the rally. Did the trip last yr on the 2 wheeler, Vee Strom. Joe
My son Thomas and I did it in 2013....2 loops around Oregon coast, From Bellingham ferry up to Haines. ride via Tok Anchorage to the arctic circle and back via the top of the world highway and the Cassier down to Oregon.
Thomas got a "few" horizons to see that opened his mind.
Just the right thing to do for him at the age of 18.
Only he was disappointed about the hot weather. it was the hottest summer in Alaska for many years.
Go for it and you will not be disappointed at all.
