Anyone know how much trouble it is to replace the 3/4" axle with a 1" axle on a Texas Sidecar?

No idea, but here metric bearings are 1/3 in Price of inch bearings, which are difficult to find.

A little fabrication and a 1" spindle may be required.

Trailer supply places may have the bearings you seek. The axle will probably have to be fabricated from i inch cold roll steel.

After some checking I think that the 3/4" axle is going to stay there.

Have you asked Bob Darden at Texas Sidecar? He might have a bigger axle assembly that is used on a larger sidecar.

AND... Please don't let the off topic and wise ass answers deter you. Folks are just bored and want to participate or they are trying gto bring a lighter view to the subject. At any rate, just sift that stuff out and look for the sound advice. It is often found here... among comic relief.

I also recommend checking with Texas sidecars however there is more to the question. What wheel are you planning on running? Why are you looking to do this? And have you considered adding a brake while you are at it? The only Texas sidecar I have ever seen with a brake we added. Not sure if they even offer a brake however if a brake keeps you out of trouble even once it is worth the effort.
If Texas sidecars can not help you with more information I will try and help.
