Remember you live now.

Remember You live now!
In memory of a good friend of mine, Jan Larson, the old Swede, who emigrated in 52 to Peru, father and grandfather of a whole racer family in Costa Rica, who passed by last week to join his wife "Lola", who left us Christmas last year.
Plus "Mylash" a Ural rig pusher from Sovietsteeds forum, who had lost his muscle government and many brain functions last year by a carbon monoxide poisoning and of whom we haven't heard anything since a few month ago.
Both were/are true fighters and an example to follow.
Today searching for a couple of spares I found 2 wall paper cards that do deserve to be recalled and fresh up everybodyβs daily attitude, so here they come:

A present from my wife after an illness that took me close to the edge in 1999:
In life brother, in life.
If you want to make somebody happy,
whom you like a lot,
Tell it to him today, in life.
In life, brother, in life.
If you want to hand over a flower, don't wait
until it it wilts, send it today with love.
In life, brother, in life.
If you like to say "I love you"
to the people in your house, and to the friend
close by or far away, do it now.
In life, brother, in life.
Don't wait for the people to die
for to love them and make them feel your affection.
In life, brother, in life.
You will be much happier if you learn
to make happier who you know.
In life, brother in life.

Next is a print out I took a very long time ago from this forum and it has been on my office pin wall since then...it is completely faded out meanwhile.
Worth to call it into memory again as it is the best animating for every sailor and rider:
Twenty years from now you will be
more disappointed by the things that
you
didn't do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away
from the safe harbour. Catch the trade
winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.
Discover.

The recipe of my aunt Hannelore who bypassed the doctors prediction of life expectancy of at most 6 month by 5 1/2 years.
"Tell yourself every 15 minutes:
I want to live!
I want to live!
I want to live!
And in the morning and evening say it out loud before and after your prayers.
...
We have quite a few fellows here in the forum who have to fight tough times, so I hope these lines animate you to give your beloved ones a big hug and wish them all the best.
All the best and do never give up fighting...
Sincerely Yours
Sven Peter from Costa Rica.
I agree, important words we all need to heed. thanks for posting.
Peter Pan, thanks for sharing these great thoughts.

Today I get blamed for something I did do for to help a friend...an expensive and tough job in the middle of the rainy season....You cannot seal a roof when you get interrupted in the first few steps.
Old German saying:
"You can do what you want, and the people still talk bad..."
Tough going should not pull you down. Stay optimist and do what has to be done.
Sometimes it is difficult to live up to your principles.
